Nikon D100 vs Canon D30

Well, well, well. After a half a year or so without my old Canon D30 (I sold it when I still saw a chance to actually get some money for it and I know I am terribly backwards, since the new Nikon D300 just came out) I am (at last) back in possession of a digital SLR. It’s not really a major step up, the “new” one is still used of course, 5 years old, but featuring some better specs, such as almost twice the amount of Megapixels (up from 3.25 to 6.1) for example. Really they are not that different, and the Nikon D100 is probaby alot like the old Canon D60.

I guess the bigger issue will be to actually switch to Nikon. After having only used Canon over the last 15 years or so, it will be quite a difference, one which I no doubt will master. So I am looking forward to spending some time out’n about and I should hopefully upload a few pics rather sooner than later.

  1. Hi 58,

nice to see that blog back up.
the nikon navigation menus is one of the most user friendly and one of the best you can get :) I use a Nikon D50. Very happy with it.

    take care.

  2. Eh, nice to see you’re back online.
Nikon….i am still using my (analog) F70 and only bought it because of the F3 at home. Dont know about the digital versions but I always went for the Nikon because of their better handling (~ grip).
